Weekend update

How come the weekends go by so fast!

Friday night Nick and I had a Christmas party at one of the firefighters house that Nick works with. I didn't want to leave the baby and wasn't sure about the weather but I'm so glad we went!
We had a blast and I'm so lucky for the bond between the firemen and the wives!
Everyone is so friendly and we have a good time when we all get together.

Saturday my sister was able to walk in her graduation ceremony. She had to take some time off to have her baby and be with her but she was determined to finish and I am so proud of her!

The weather was bad early in the morning but we were able to have lunch as a family all 11 of us to celebrate!

Sunday we went to breakfast just the three of us and did some major shopping. We were able to get some Christmas shopping done along with all the groceries we needed.

We had a busy but great weekend!

Slow down baby boy

As I write this I can't believe our little William is eight weeks! How can that be! How can it be the 8 weeks ago we were blessed with the sweetest most precious baby boy!

William is:

Sleeping through the night from about 9pm to 5 am . We are so very lucky.

He is eating about 4oz every three hours and growing like a weed!

He is such a happy and content baby.

He loves being talked to and gives the biggest smiles!

He is still sleeping in his rock n play in our room.

He is taking reflex meds and now has thrush so he is taking medicine for that as well.

He adores his Daddy when they play.

He loves to lay on his Dads chest

He loves to cuddle with his Mommy

He doesn't like tummy time to much but is really good at holding his head up. He has been rolling over for the last two weeks. Slow down baby.

William is adjusting to Mommy back at work

Mommy is:

All cleared from the doctor

I am feeling much better with being able to do more.

I am getting sleep (thankfully)

Loving life as a Mommy

Crying every time I have to leave for work

Feeling blessed we have great family to help watch our little man

Being a Mommy

As far as I can remember I have always wanted to be a Mommy. I have spent my whole life around kids and babies. As a child my mom babysat so I was able to get lots of practice. As I got older I babysat as well. Needless to say I knew I could do the taking care of the baby part.  Little did I know my life would change forever.

Labor is nothing like tv or what I thought it was going to be like. I thought it would be like I would have contractions and my water break then I would head to the hospital. That was definitely not the case. I was 40 weeks and thought baby would be coming any day now not the case. 41 weeks came around and still nothing. So we headed to the doctor to check everything and possibly discuss induction. We talked and it was Thursday and if he didn't come by Sunday we would head to the hospital. Long story short nothing throughout my 42 hours of labor went the way I thought or had planned.
Even though nothing went the way I wanted it was the most rewarding thing I have ever went through. I am so lucky to be this little guys mom and I am loving every minute of it!

I never could imagine the love I have for this little guy! Although it's hard at times and the first few weeks were crazy it is worth every crazy minute and I can't wait to do it again in the future.

William
I  am so thankful for you. You have brought so much joy and love into our life and I am so glad you are mine. You are such a good, easy baby. You are sleeping so well and being so nice to your dad and I. I love the way you are starting to smile and you are trying so hard to talk. I can't wait to help you grow and learn. I look forward to watching you and documenting you as you get older.

Weekend full of family, turkey and Christmas

This year has been the best holiday season yet! We get to celebrate the holidays with our sweet boy!

We celebrated Thanksgiving on Wednesday with my in laws because Nick had to work. It actually worked out really well and it made for an easier holiday. We tried to get together with his dads family but it didn't work out.

Thursday I loaded up the car and Will and I headed to my parents for the day/night. We enjoyed great company and food. Will slept through it all.
My cousin Kate and Will! This was her first time meeting him! We were so excited to see her and see her engagement ring and here about her new place and wedding plans. So happy for her!

My beautiful sister holding him while I take a picture of his outfit.

Friday we ventured out with my parents for a little bit of Black Friday shopping.

Saturday the whole family got together and we meet at Eckerts to get our Chrissy trees. It's been a family tradition to cut down our Chrismas tree for as long as I can remember, so I am so glad we can continue this tradition with Will.

The kids

Me, Maggie , Emily, my sister in law Erin, Shawn and Oliver minus my husband( taking the picture) and my brother in law.

Sisters

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Sunday was a very lazy day for our little family. We watched Christmas movies and did a little cleaning. It was so nice. That night we met his Dads family and his sister for dinner.

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!
