William is ONE

Ahhhhh the day is here and you are ONE! I can't believe it has been 365 days since I first saw your sweet face. That day is a day I will never forget! You have changed our lives so much and have brought us so much joy. I'm so glad to be your Mommy and I am amazed by the person you are becoming everyday!

Although I had a break down the night before your birthday I really am excited to watch you grow and learn. It makes me sad to not put you to sleep in my arms. It makes me sad that you play independently. It masked me sad that you talk and walk now. Where did my baby go? It also amazes me how much you learn and how much you love! Your smile is contagious and your laughter is amazing.

Keep growing little man. I can't wait for many more years of memories! I love you forever!

A weekend away

This weekend I was off work Friday and Monday. Yahoo for four day weekends. Every year since Nick and I have been together we have traveled to Indiana for the covered bridge festival the second weekend in October. It is always a fun time and a small get away. We have spent a few days there to just a day. This year wasn't going to be any different but now we can share this tradition with William.

We were a little nervous of how he would do sleeping in pack n play in our room but we knew he would be the great baby he always is. We headed out Thursday night after I got off work.  We stopped for dinner, hit construction lots of construction, rain and finally we were there.  It took longer than expected we were tired, crabby and ready for bed.

We started our Friday out with breakfast at Cracker Barrel and hit the road. We had chilly fall weather with a little bit of rain but it was gorgeous. We visited covered bridges and yard sales.
On Saturday we shopped at the flea markets and ate WAY to much fair food.
We had a great time and William was so good.
