The last day of 2012

Well I really love the snow and I am so glad to see it but I have plans tonight that could be ruined with you sticking around.. SNOW go away come again another day.

This weekend has been a nice relaxing weekend. I picked up my husband from work and we headed to breakfast to start our day. Then we headed to the grocery store. YIPEE! $250 later and we have food for the next month. We wanted to buy or mattress but couldn't decide on what to get. Any ideas?

This is what I made for dinner. It turned out delicious! Thank you Pinterest.

I had a wedding on Friday and had to go solo but all m family was there. It was so nice after 10 years of marriage they were able to get married in the church. So cute!

I might have spent part of our night trying to fix my blog and have  a few drinks while the hub touched up so paint I had been begging him to do. Sounds fair right?

We ended our weekend with movie and red lobster. We went and saw this is 40 and it was pretty good I would recommend it. Red Lobster is always delicious. I had crab legs! Well I had it all lol.

Hope everyone has a great New Years Eve!

The Final Friday of 2012

  2. April 2012 we had my bridal shower
  3. April 2012 we had my bachlorette party
  4. May 5, 2012 I married my best friend
  5. June 2012 we took our honeymoon
  6. June 2012 we hosted my nieces first birthday party
  7. August 2012 I started another year of teaching
  8. November 2012  my brother go married
  9. December 2012 we spent our first Christmas as a married couple.

What a great but busy year we have had! I am so excited to see what 2013 will bring to our family!  I want to make a new years resolution list with 13 items and periodically check to see what we have accomplished, and what we may need a little more help with. I still have to come up with a few more but I am anxious to get the ball rolling.

New years: I am so excited to be hosting our third party at our house! As a child Nick would always have family and friends at his Moms house and when we bought our house we decided we would hold that tradition here.  I can't wait for family, friends, food and great drinks.

Dear weather:  I really need some SNOW!!!  Yes I am one of those people who love the cold weather.  I just wanted to see some snow this Christmas. It was on the forecast but of course nothing here. All I ask is for a bit it doesn't have to be a lot just a dusting would be nice. If you want I will take enough for a snow day from work :)

Dear house:   please clean yourself. I sure do like cleaning and I love a clean house but with Christmas and being so busy I have neglected you and it will take forever to clean you.  PS please do my laundry also.

What I love most about the holiday season is cutting down our Christmas tree and holiday scents from my warmers and candles. My family and I have cut down a real tree every year since I was born. It is such a nice tradition and it smells so good. Nick and I have been doing this tradition and hope to continue this for years to come. ( hopefully Eckerts can keep growing our trees).

Dear weekend:  Please go slow and let me enjoy this nice weekend with my husband. Nothing to exciting planned but you never know what may come up.

Dear bank account:  please fill yourself even though I got paid today I still could use some help after Christmas.

Dear Bloggers:  Thanks to all that have read or given advice I hope to continue to learn how to do all this and make new friends!

Have a great weekend!

Christmas wrap up

Well its Thursday only one more day till the weekend. I can't wait! Hopefully this weekend we can go purchase a new mattress. I know not to exciting but much needed. I still have Christmas presents and boxes to put away and recycle. How come it is so easy to chill and do nothing but so hard to get motivated to do what you need to do?

Our Christmas was great. We started our family festivities on Dec. 23rd at Nick's Dads house. We had pulled chicken and it was great. We opened presents and played some games. It was a great visit and a great time! I even got the Victoria Secret pink pullover I have been wanting! Then Christmas Eve we headed to church with my family and then to Aunt Karen's for dinner and family fun = lots of drinks.
Had a great time with family. Then late that evening we headed to my mother in laws to open presents with his mom and sister. What a great Christmas already and its not even over. Christmas morning I woke up early to drive to my mom and dads so us siblings could open presents with my parents. Opening in the morning from younger to oldest is our tradition and I love every minute of it.
Then I headed to my mother in laws for early lunch and to hang out with Papa and Karin. At about 330 after eating, games, and more eating we headed to my parents again for more food.

I swear I will go to the gym today!

Today I am trying to find the strength to clean/ organize the house before our New Years Eve party but sitting on the couch in my pj's sounds so much better.

Hope everyone has a terrific Thursday?

Hello blog world

Hello Ladies,

I have been reading a lot of blogs lately and have really enjoyed reading about other peoples lives. I am not very exciting but I really would like to start blogging.

I am #2 of four children to the most wonderful parents a girl could ask for. I have one older brother and two younger sisters. We have had a lot going on this year.  I got married in May, my niece turned one in June and my brother got married in November. Whew!!! It has been crazy but an amazing year. I am so lucky and blessed to have such a loving, caring and helpful husband.

I was lucky enough to get to spend some time with my niece today since I am off work all week. She definitely keeps you busy but it is tons of fun! We played with toys, colored, made lunch, did the dishes, and hung up the laundry. She is growing so fast and the most incredible thing I have ever seen.

My husband and I have been married almost 8 months and I can't believe its been almost a year. Time sure does fly by. It has been an incredible 8 months! I look forward to many more months and years with him. I am so excited to start a family with him. ( well maybe in a few months we will discuss this)

I hope to read many more blogs and write many more stories. Hope you have a great night.
